Responsible Sourcing

To support responsible sourcing, our company maintains an integrated supply chain compliance program that combines CTPAT supply chain security requirements with country risk-based social compliance requirements. This approach enables comprehensive supplier oversight and helps identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks within our supply chain.

Human Rights
Burlington maintains robust programs, policies, and due diligence processes designed to help prevent and mitigate risks of forced labor, human trafficking, and child labor within its supply chain. These efforts are guided by internationally recognized standards and applicable local regulations such as the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010. We expect all business partners to uphold fair labor practices, respect human rights, and provide workplaces free from discrimination in any form.
 

Product Safety

Burlington is committed to offering customers products that are safe and compliant with applicable laws. We have policies and procedures in place requiring our merchandise vendors and suppliers to meet applicable product safety standards that are informed by U.S. Federal, State and regional regulations, as well as hazard and risk-based considerations.

Product Safety Compliance Program
As part of Burlington’s Product Safety Compliance Program, all vendors are required to comply with Burlington’s Terms and Conditions, as well as various compliance documents and manuals. Vendors must ensure that all products supplied to Burlington meet all applicable laws, rules, and regulations in the United States, as well as in the country of manufacture. This foundational expectation reflects Burlington’s ongoing commitment to providing safe, compliant, and responsibly sourced products.

We employ enhanced oversight for product categories that present elevated safety risks and continuously monitor regulatory developments to support ongoing compliance. Products that fail to comply with applicable safety requirements or present an unreasonable risk of injury are subject to corrective action, including removal from sale and recall where appropriate.

Chemical Management

As part of our commitment to chemical management, Burlington focuses on areas where we have the greatest ability to drive impact and that are best aligned with our off-price business model. We work closely with vendors and suppliers to communicate chemical compliance expectations and promote responsible chemical management practices. Through third-party testing, ongoing monitoring, and compliance verification, we assess products against applicable regulations and Burlington’s requirements. We have also made progress in reducing our operational chemical footprint in our stores and distribution centers and continue to identify opportunities to strengthen chemical management across our operations and supply chain.
